“Think before you kiss a baby,” mom pleads after son’s herpes infection

Health
Babies are irresistibly cute, yes, but the next time you are overcome with desire to go near a baby, or worse, kiss them, stop for a second to think. If you're wondering why you should bother to do that, here’s a real-life testimony from one mom, who has taken to Facebook to warn everyone what could happen when people kiss babies. The photo Amy Stinson posted shows her baby Oliver's skin marred with red and angry rashes. According to a Scary Mommy report, Amy first brought her son to the doctors after the rashes began to appear, thinking that it was chicken pox. It was not. At the doctor's she was told that Oliver had herpes. As a result, Oliver ended up in the hospital. He stayed a total of four days while on an IV drip....

In 1945, for example, five American torpedo bombers and a plane were sent to the area and they eventually ended up vanishing without a trace. 13 Things Every Woman Should Know About Her Vagina Before Turning 30

Life
1. Get to know what it looks like so you're not flipping out over that ingrown hair you get all the time. You've been living with your same mons pubis for 30 years. Study it like it's an unsolved burglary case (and what better time to wear a detective hat and use a magnifying glass than to stare curiously at your vulva and take notes?) so you know what is normal for you and when you might need to see your gyno. 2. Lock down your go-to treatment for yeast infections. Going to the doctor for a yeast infection is like going to the doctor for a cold: you feel like an idiot, they just tell you to take something you could've gotten at CVS, and you could've spent that money on ankle boots. If something works, stick with it. 3. Stop believing that y...

Unfortunately, one expectant mom had an extreme allergic reaction to her hair dye that almost cost her unborn son his life.  Jess Strachan, 30, had been coloring her hair for a decade without incident, but while pregnant she had an unbelievable reaction to hair dye that frighteningly could've caused her to miscarry. The anxious mom explained the situation to Metro UK: "My hairdresser said it wasn't necessary for me to have a patch test don...

See why a Mom Made the Decision To Die And Save Unborn Son During C-Section

Life
It was supposed to be a routine procedure, until Karisa Bugal’s C-section took a terrifying turn. The mother from Colorado was discovered to have a rare condition that affects one in 100,000 deliveries. Karisa had an amniotic fluid embolism, where the fluids surrounding the baby get into the mother’s blood stream, causing all of the organs to shut down. There is no known way to prevent it. Many mothers do not survive. Just before Dr. Kelly Gerow discovered Karisa’s condition, doctors noticed her unborn son’s heart rate began to dip. The baby’s life was also at risk. Karisa had to choose between a cesarean with anesthesia, that could save the baby and kill her, or a cesarean where she was awake, which could save her and kill him. ...
