People living in the UAE speak highly of the safety and security in the country.
In fact, the Ministry of Interior has announced that 98.6 percent of the country’s residents feel safe. Hence, it is not surprising why the UAE ranked among the safest countries in the world.
Last year, Emirates (the flagship carrier of Dubai) was hailed as the world’s safest airline. Likewise, Dubai has also been recognised as the second best city in the world for driving. In this article, we present more reasons why the UAE is among the world’s safest countries.

UAE Among World’s Safest Countries
What makes the UAE safe and secure? Based on recent reports, the country has:
The world’s lowest ranking of crimes related to theft and sexual assault
The lowest number of fire incidents (only 19 fires recorded per 100,000 people in 2017, based on a report by the Federal National Council)
The lowest deaths per fire incident (0.040 deaths per 100,000 people)
Furthermore, in terms of traffic-related incidents, the UAE ranked seventh lowest in the world. In 2008, 13.5 deaths per 100,000 had been recorded. The same figure dropped significantly to just 5 deaths per 100,000 people in 2017.
